Volcano Snowglobe Shaker
Hello lovely crafters! Today's card has a bit of a silly story behind it. NBC has a television show called Manifest. In one of the recent episodes, there was a snowglobe that contained an erupting Volcano. As the snowglobe was shaken, a flurry of snow swirled around the glass. Immediately, I turned to my husband and exclaimed "Why didn't they make the snow ash instead?" I decided to fix their mistake and make my own volcano snowglobe.
Stamps
Chameleon Pens
- Gel Pen
- Hole Punch
- Scissors
- Clear Plastic
- Exacto Knife
- Paper Trimmer
- Scoring Board
- Pencil
Adhesive
Additional Info
- Billowing smoke was created
using the Puffy Cloud Borders - For the plastic in the shaker element,
I used a recycled takeout container. - I manually cut out my snowglobe center,
but there are die sets that coordinate with the snowglobe
that can make it easier
PRO TIP: I didn't have any black or grey shaker filling, so I made do with some black paper and a hole punch. If you want to try something like this, I would recommend using something heavier than just paper. Using paper alone doesn't make as much sound, and can be hard to shake at times.
I'm also entering this card into the current LawnFawnatics Travel/ Destination/ Favorite Place Challenge. I've never been to Hawaii, but I've always wanted to go and see a volcano in person. Maybe one day, fingers crossed!
